To Be Or Not To Be...
There are two ends of the spectrum for classifying people: At one end, you have the people who never would treat a person badly (intentionally) in their lives, we sometimes call them "Nice guys". At the other end of the spectrum, we have people who treat others with such disrespect, that you wonder why someone hasn't knocked all their teeth out yet, we call them "Jerks" (for lack of a better word). Now, as for me, I try and live life more on the "Nice Guy" end of the spectrum. I try to make sure that I don't be too mean to people im closest too, and try and be there for them as much as I can.
The problem with being on the "Nice Guy" end of things, is that you always feel bad when something doesn't go right. You feel directly responsible for it happening and you always wonder if there was more you could have done. "Jerks" on the other hand, do not have this problem, since they are able to shrug it off and just walk away.
Lately, I have wondered what that would feel like to be able to shut off emotions like that, to just not care and let things go so fast in order to move on. In a lot of ways, that would make things easier right? You wouldn't feel bad for being mean to someone, you would be able to drop subjects in the blink of an eye, and relationship problems would be almost non-existent since you would just get over them in a snap!
Unfortunately, its difficult for me to go to dark side of the force. I have never taken the easy way out, and I don't plan to start now just because things are tough. So I say goodbye to the "dark side" of the force, and cordially remain the person I always have been:
The so-called "Nice Guy", that was too nice, too often.
Guess that's why I finished last.
This is Falcon, signing off.
