Sweet Injustice

Ahhhh course eval time. How I love to just look over those sheets of paper and rate the performance of all my professors. A time where, the tables are turned, and we can decide whether or not the professor in question was actually good or not.

This was the time of year that I was looking forward to ever since I set foot in that god forsaken chem 103 lab this term. I was gonna give my Chem lab instructor just what he needed: A good, ol fashioned quick in the ass. I had it ready to go in my head and everything!

Sadly though, because it was a lab, my lab instructor (btw he is also a chem 101 prof, he does actually hold a PHD in Chemistry) said:

"This year, we are only evaluating the lab itself, not the instructor, so dont bother".

My jaw dropped... I didnt know what to do... but say:

"Ohhhhh no, you're GETTING an evaluation whether you like or not!"

So when I glanced at the paper, I saw one question on the front page that said:

"What can we do to improve the lab"

I quickly followed that comment with suggestions of "Hiring less pricks; Getting rid of condecending instructors; Hiring instructors that werent going to ridicule you for asking a question." By the way: Each of those comments where followed by the name of my instructor:

Roy Jensen (spelling?)

I REALLY REALLY wanted to just write "Jensen IS A PRICK" in big bold harsh cocaphanated words. I was dying to just rip this man apart on the course eval.

But alas, i could not, So here I am, writting to you, the good people, about how much I loathe this man.

Anyhoo, thats my rant.

Cheers! And best of luck on Finals!

School = Life

Well my life has been ANYTHING but exciting these last couple of weeks. School has literally obliterated any sort of life i may have had before hand. I expected engineering to be hard, but not so hard that it would be ripping me apart. I dont have long to write to you guys, however, all I can say is the following:

- My chem lab instructor is a prick
- School is kicking my ass
- I may have lost an old friend forever

On the upside however, after writting my ENGG 130 midterm; My professor decided that a mathematical method that I used on the said midterm, will become part of her curriculum next year. She was kind enough to single me out in the entire class of 60 people, talk about what I did, ask me questions about it, and tell me she will be introducing it in her class next year. So kudos to me.

Anyway, thats my update. Cheers!
