Watching Time
A couple of days ago, I had to drop off my sister and I looked at my watch to figure out how long Id be waiting at this paticular rink before I could drive her home. I took a look, it was about 4:30, yet, even after getting what time it was, I couldnt pull away from my watch. The reason was that, I realised at that moment who had given this watch to me: It was my friend Marc. This is the guy who I grew up with as a kid. He and I would be outside for hours playing street hockey, basketball and such. He only lived 4 doors down from me, so some days, he would just grab his hockey stick and come over and we'd take shots at the net.
He had given me this watch two christmas's ago. One of the last times he and I ever hung out. Lately however, he and I have drifted way to far apart due to different influences in our lives, high school and work.
As each second ticks by on this watch I realize he and I grow farther and farther apart. And I dont know if we will ever be the friends we once were. However, now, whenever I look at this watch, Ill remember my best pal, coming up the street with his hockey stick wanting to know if I wanted to play some street hockey.
This is Falcon, Signing off.
